This season, Liberty High School’s Marching Pageantry has taken audiences on an inspiring journey with their powerful show, Beacons, a performance that reminds us all that when we face the storms of life, we have two choices: hide behind the rocks in fear or rise up as a beacon of light and hope for others.

This past Wednesday, Liberty High School proudly celebrated the completion of the eight-week Family Engagement Program presented by the Parent Institute for Quality Education (PIQE). The event marked another successful partnership between Liberty and PIQE, honoring over 20 parents who completed the program and demonstrated their commitment to supporting their students’ academic and emotional success.

After several years without a team, Liberty High School’s E-Sports program has made a triumphant return and is already making its mark in the competitive gaming world. Under the dedicated leadership of Coaches Eddie Watson and Julian Alias, Liberty’s players have revived the excitement of school E-Sports and are proudly representing the Patriots in Overwatch 2 competition.

This year, Liberty High’s Academic Decathlon team has embraced The Roaring Twenties, the official theme of the 2025–2026 season, with energy, creativity, and a passion for learning. Guided by the classic literary work The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, our Decathletes are diving headfirst into the world of jazz, art deco, innovation, and cultural transformation that defined the 1920s.

This fall, Liberty High School has proudly been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s top high schools. This national honor reflects Liberty’s excellence across multiple measures, including Advanced Placement (AP) performance, Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway completion, and college and career readiness.

The Agriculture Program at Liberty High School continues to flourish, offering students hands on opportunities to grow their skills and creativity. One shining example is the Floral Design class, a Career Technical Education (CTE) pathway and dual enrollment course that blends art, science, and agriculture. Students in the class earn both high school and college credit while learning floral design techniques, business concepts, and leadership through FFA.

Homecoming week at Liberty High School was nothing short of magical. Year after year, the campus comes alive with tradition, pride, and community, and this past week was a shining example of why nobody does Homecoming like Liberty.

Homecoming at Liberty High is more than a week of festivities and school spirit, it’s a celebration of community, belonging, and working together for something bigger than yourself. It’s about coming together to lift one another up, to celebrate what matters most, and to recognize the strength found in unity. Few stories embody that spirit more than the journey of senior David Castillo.
